Following our announcement earlier this week regarding our involvement with the Sport Technology and Innovation Group, we’re also really pleased to see a lot of our advice and guidance to be delivered in practice as fans returned this week. The work wont stop and we will be working with all of our clients to ensure they have the right tools at their disposal and best practices from across the industry are shared.
The celebrations started on Wednesday on the first day of the new measures with both Shrewsbury Town and Luton kicking off preceedings and welcoming their fanbases back into the stands.
“Today marks a momentous occasion in our clubs history and it’s been a turbulent road to get here. We’re over the moon about bringing fans back into the Montgomery Waters Meadow for the first time since our pilot event back in September and are really thankful for the work Ticketmaster Sport have done to get us here. This is just the start and we’re excited to be bringing more and more of our fan base back to watch Salop.”
Brian Caldwell, Chief Executive & Company Secretary, Shrewsbury Town FC
Last night, Arsenal welcomed back 2,000 fans into The Emirates for their UEFA Europa League game against Rapid Wien. Whilst a host of our other clubs also brought back fans. We will see this continue over the weekend with plenty more clubs based in Tier 2 regions able to bring more people back home to where they belong.Â
This is only the start of the journey in our return to live but there’s been lots of work to achieve this groundbreaking moment. We are excited to continue our work with STIG and also with our clients to help them manage these processes much more efficiently as the crowd numbers look to increase in the months ahead.Â
Pair this news with the recent introduction of the vaccine we are truly seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now and excited to be seeing those stadiums full!
