Ticketmaster Sport’s innovative Away Ticketing technology has been awarded Silver in the ‘Sports Technology of the Year’ category at this year’s Sports Business Awards. The Sports Business Awards recognise and reward achievement by the teams behind the scenes that facilitate sporting excellence and endeavours.
Fulfilling away tickets has traditionally been a challenge in ticket offices across the UK. Ticketmaster’s technology allows fans to purchase away tickets directly through their team’s website, eliminating the need for separate ticketing systems for different clubs. This technology not only makes it easier for fans to purchase tickets but also for clubs to manage their own ticket allocation more efficiently.
This is the second time this year Ticketmaster Sport’s Away Ticketing technology has won an award this year. The technology previously won the ‘Best Use of Technology in Football‘ Award at the Football Business Awards 2023.
