Chesterfield FC’s Chief Executive Officer John Croot credits the “useability” as one of the main reasons the club have signed with Ticketmaster as their exclusive ticketing partner from the 2024/2025 season onwards.

Chesterfield are celebrating a return to the English Football League following six years in the National League. Record crowds backed Paul Cook’s team to promotion in the last season at the SMH Group Stadium.

CEO John Croot explains that as ticketing is “integral for the business”, using Ticketmaster’s technology is critical for the “better use of digital ticketing for away matches as well as home fixtures”. In addition, the reporting tools within the Ticketmaster product “are better suited to the needs of the club.”

Highlighting the importance of the digitalisation of ticketing, in particular for away matches, Croot believes this will “help make life easier” as “Ticketmaster has tools to make this achievable for clubs on both sides using their systems.”

Commenting on the overall deal, Croot concludes that “given the increased demand for tickets we have experienced, it was important that we found an effective solution to meet our ticketing requirements. We are delighted to be working with Ticketmaster Sport, a company with an excellent reputation that can deliver the level of service we require.”
